RVA Brain Tumor 5K

Welcome to the 3rd Annual RVA Brain Tumor 5K Race and Family Fun Walk, an event to raise awareness and much-needed resources to fund critical brain tumor-specific programs to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Hosted by the National Brain Tumor Society, the RVA Brain Tumor 5K offers individuals and teams a chance to honor and remember loved ones, connect with others interested in the brain tumor cause, and helps to educate the local community on the diverse needs of the brain tumor community.

Join us on November 7, 2020 at Historic Tredegar Lot and help raise funds and awareness for brain tumor research! Together we will conquer and cure Brain Tumors – once and for all!

EVENT DETAILS:

Who:  All are welcome.  This is a family friendly event.  Those wishing to challenge themselves should register for the certified  5K, while others are welcome to join us on a family fun walk.  Pets are permitted as long as they are comfortable and well behaved in large crowds and around loud music.

What:  A 5K Run and Walk that raises and funds for the critical needs of the brain tumor community.

When:  Saturday, November 7, 2020

Where:  Historic Tredegar Lot – 470 Tredegar St. Richmond, VA

Why:  Because a cure cannot wait…  Because Brain Tumors are the leading cause of cancer related deaths in pediatric cancer patients 19 and under…  Because despite the number of brain tumors, and their devastating prognosis, there have only been four (4) FDA approved drugs – and one device – to treat brain tumors in the past 30 years.
