COVID19 / Coronavirus EVENTS UPDATE – https://events.braintumor.org/
Welcome to the 2020 Long Island Brain Tumor Walk, an event to raise awareness and much-needed resources to fund critical brain tumor-specific programs to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Hosted by the National Brain Tumor Society, the Long Island Brain Tumor Walk offers individuals and teams a chance to honor and remember loved ones, connect with others interested in the brain tumor cause, and helps to educate the local community on the diverse needs of the brain tumor community.
National Brain Tumor Society’s top priority is the health of the brain tumor community. Long Island has done a fantastic job impacting the brain tumor community with your participation and we thank you!
We greatly appreciate our community’s understanding and flexibility during this public health crisis. Your support and commitment to helping us achieve our mission and vision are critical to everything we do at NBTS. We would not be able to move forward with our efforts to fight brain tumors without your continued inspiration, dedication, and generosity. We ask and hope that you will remain engaged with NBTS throughout this period.
Our 2020 Survivor Speaker – Will Roth!
I’m Will and I am a person, not a statistic. I’m a 31 year old man & a new dad of identical twin girls, Jolene & Riley. I call New Rochelle NY home with my wife Lauren and our beloved pooch Ralph. Lauren and I have built an amazing life together despite the challenge we were presented in October of 2016: my Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma diagnosed at 27 yrs old. Thanks to Lauren, my family, my friends and my amazing healthcare team, today I am healthy and I am strong [and I always knock on wood when I say things like that]. With almost 4 years of clean scans under my belt, I am hopeful, I am optimistic and I am more committed than ever to lending my voice to improve outcomes & quality of life for everyone affected by Brain Tumors — both patients & caregivers. I know that NBTS is the organization to amplify those efforts and to deliver the meaningful improvements we all need to see. Please join me in supporting this vitally important cause!
All registered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt via mail in the weeks following the event. To maximize every dollar raised, National Brain Tumor Society only provides event t-shirts to registered participants and registered survivors.

All funds raised through our events allow the National Brain Tumor Society to advance research and public policy to improve the availability of new and better treatments, and fuel the discovery of a cure for brain tumors.
