Important Logistical Information
Due to COVID-19 we have transitioned the Southern CA Brain Tumor Walk to a virtual platform. We invite you to walk in your neighborhood, take photos that reflect your community and share what you see by using #SoCaBTW2020 and #WhyWeWalk. We may just include your images in the event day program.
All registered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt via mail in the weeks following the event. To maximize every dollar raised, National Brain Tumor Society only provides event t-shirts to registered participants and registered survivors.
The Michael Yutkin Glass Half Full Award will be awarded annually to a participant who encourages, motivates, inspires, and believes in the mission of the National Brain Tumor Society. Michael Yutkin courageously shared his story and was a deeply valued member of our community. He was not only an integral part of the former, Orange County Brain Tumor Walk Volunteer Planning Committee, but was also a consistent top fundraiser for the event, as well as a brain tumor advocate during our annual Head to the Hill events in Washington DC. With the permission of the Yutkin family, the National Brain Tumor Society will select one deserving participant of the Michael Yutkin Champion Award. The recipient of this award will, like Michael, be a stand out champion of the NBTS mission. Michael will forever be missed by his family and friends, but we know his light and legacy will continue to shine for years to come.
