This event day is geared for the whole family to enjoy so we hope you bring the kids, grandparents and your doggies!

Event Day Program
10:00 – Registration Opens

10:30 – The emcee will open the stage program.

10:35 – National Brain Tumor Society Staff will share information about what the organization is currently working on.

10:45 – Remembrance Ceremony will be held at the Honor & Celebrate Tent. This is an elective ceremony for people to join if they want to honor a loved one who has passed away. We will take just a few minutes to read a poem and reflect on their memory.

11:00 – Survivor Photo in front of the stage. All survivors at the event are encouraged to be in the photo.

11:10 – Survivor Guest Speaker

11:15 – Costume Contest – Every participant is encouraged to dress with as much NBTS Freeze Spirit as they can. Award will be given for best Team Costume.

11:20The 2020 Planning Committee Members will announce our final fundraising numbers and will distribute fundraising prizes.

11:30 – Team Captain Call Out before the Freeze – each team captain will be allowed to call out the name of their Freeze honoree.

11:40 – Prep for the Freeze – a few minutes for people to change clothes and get ready to FREEZE!

11:50 – Freeze! Every registered participant is invited to run into the lake (waist deep is encouraged) to FREEZE the Disease! *Bring a towel and warm clothes to change into. We’ll have changing rooms available for your use.

11:50 – LIVE BAND KMC Band will play for us through lunch!

12:15 – Silent Auction Closes – Must be present to win.

We invite everyone to stay and enjoy lunch from our food truck, listen to the band and celebrate the strength of our community together until 1PM.

Food at the Freeze

World Fare will once again join us as our EXCLUSIVE onsite food truck!

You are encouraged to either purchase lunch from the truck onsite and support local business or bring a blanket and pack a lunch to enjoy picnic style after the Freeze. Please stay within the park rules and guidelines.

Directions & Parking to Nimbus Dam Recreation Area

Parking will be $10 per car, per the State Park guidelines. Please plan on carpooling and following all parking regulations on event day. If you have a valid California State Park annual pass, that will cover your parking.

ADA parking will be available near the event site. Please follow the signage upon arrival for directions.

From the Sacramento International Airport: Follow signs for I‐5 South out of the Airport toward Sacramento. At exit 518, take ramp right for I‐80 East toward Fresno, then keep straight into US‐50 E towards South Lake Tahoe. Take the Hazel Avenue Exit (Exit 21.)

Directions from Highway 80: Heading West from Auburn or East from Sacramento or San Francisco take the Sierra College Blvd. exit (in the City of Rocklin) and turn South on Sierra College Blvd. In about 6 miles Sierra College Blvd. becomes Hazel Ave., continue South through the town of Orangevale and finally across the American River.

Directions from Highway 50: Heading West from Lake Tahoe or East from Sacramento or San Francisco take the Hazel Ave. (Exit 21).
