Volunteers are essential to the Brain Tumor Walk! Thank you for your dedication to the brain tumor cause. Training is provided when you arrive.

Street Team TODAY & Ongoing
We are looking for individuals or groups to hang posters in local stores, libraries, coffee shops, hospitals, etc. Grab some friends, have a fun few hours, and give back to the brain tumor community! Email TPagel@braintumor.org to get materials.
Volunteer Check-in 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Checking in all volunteers for the event. Provide site maps, directions and other key items for the volunteers. Organize and pack remaining supplies after the event.
Set-Up Crew (Day of Event) 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Help with unloading and placing boxes and supplies in the tents in preparation for event. Organize tables and hang signage. Must be able to lift up-to 20 lbs.
Registration and Check-In 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Set up the Registration and Check-In tent. Check-in pre-registered participants and register new Walk-ups. You may also be responsible for collecting donations and or distributing t-shirts. Mandatory registration training will take place in the morning before registration begins.
Raffle & Silent Auction Tent 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Set up the tent for use. Assist in collecting forms and auction items ask teams arrive. You’ll assist in helping answer questions for participants looking to bid during the event. You’ll help process payments, distribute items at the close of the event, clean up tent at close of the event.
Honor and Celebrate Tent 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Assist participants in writing messages and hanging photos of loved ones on the Hope and Memory banner. You’ll also get to support the special remembrance ceremony.
Team Signs 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Set up the designated team sign creation area, complete with craft supplies. Refill paints, straighten area, and assist participants as necessary. At the end of the event, you will inventory, organize and pack supplies in the tent and assist with clean up.
Line Monitors 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Assist and support registration tent with crowd direction and control in the lines. Mandatory registration training will take place when you arrive.
Route Marshals / Cheerleaders! 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Direct walk participants from the start/finish line safely around the course and back. Volunteers will assist with road crossings, directions, crowd control and information. Cheer on the participants as they start the walk, along the route, and welcome them back when they return. You are encouraged to bring pom-poms and other cheer gear _ a small amount will be provided. Please NO whistles or loud noisemakers. We want to be delicate toward our communities’ sensitivities.
Breakdown/Clean-up 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Organize and pack supplies and assist with clean up. Must be able to lift up-to 20 lbs.
