As a registered participant, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help jumpstart your efforts. Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of $500 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors. Be sure to check out our fundraising challenges and prizes to ensure you’re taking advantage and to maximize your walk experience.

All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Please note that our t-shirt order is placed 30 days in advance of the event, which is why we began implementing tiered registration fees. While we try to predict day of walk ups, we encourage you to register in advance to ensure we have enough t-shirts for all participants. To maximize every dollar raised, National Brain Tumor Society only provides event T-shirts to registered participants, survivors and volunteers.

Event Day Program
We will be recognizing the Sharing Hope Visionary Award prior to the walk along with our Team Captain Call Out, before taking the Survivor Photo and kicking-off the walk. Top fundraising team and top individual fundraiser will be acknowledged during the closing ceremony.
Rain or shine the event will go on!

Honor and Celebrate Tent
Join us at the Honor and Celebrate Tent to honor and recognize survivors and to also remember friends and family who may have passed. There you will have the opportunity to hang a leaf for your loved one on our Tree of Hope.

Survivor Photo Tribute
To pay tribute to our survivors, we ask that you join us on stage when called for a group photo to kick-start the walk. Official time for Survivor Photo will be announced at the event. Be sure to pick up your Survivor T-Shirt at the registration tent.

Team Central Tent
Teams and participants will have the opportunity to make a sign to honor and celebrate who they walk for. Please arrive early to be sure and have plenty of time to deck out your team.

Directions & Parking
If you are traveling to Trinity Park by car or public transportation, please use the following street address: 2100 River Drive, Ft. Worth, TX 76107. Go past the duck pond and take the 2nd left, go over the railroad tracks and make a left.

Parking within the park is limited; available on a first come first served basis. Additionally, free public parking will be available at the Farrington Field East Parking Lot (1400 Foch St. Parking Ft. Worth, 76107). A complimentary shuttle will run continuously from 8:00 AM until noon from Farrington Field East Lot and the walk site. Please allow yourself additional time to navigate the shuttles. The lot needs to be clear by noon.

Handicap Parking and Bus Drop Off
Again, parking is extremely limited. We will have a drop off area at the roundabout adjacent to the walk site. We are not able to mark or guarantee additional handicap spaces once they are all full.

All funds raised through these events, allows the National Brain Tumor Society to advance research and public policy to improve the lives of all those living with a brain tumor, as well as anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a registration fee?

Registration for the Walk is $25 until October 2nd, $30 Oct. 3rd – Nov. 6th., and $40 on event day. Youth under 17 and under are free. All participants receive an event t-shirt. Upon registration, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help you jumpstart your efforts. Even after the event is over, you will still have access to your personal fundraising page, allowing you to maximize your impact in the fight against brain tumors.

Am I required to fundraise a minimum amount?

Adults are encouraged but not required to raise a minimum of $500 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors.

Where do Brain Tumor Events funds go?

Proceeds from the event support research to find a cure for brain tumors, public policy advocacy, and patient information to make sure the critical needs of the brain tumor community are met, through the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).

Do I need to register my children?

No, children 17 and younger are not required to register or pay a fee to attend the event. However, we strongly encourage you to register your children ahead of time, so that we can anticipate their attendance and secure their commemorative t-shirt.

I plan to participate to support one of my friends and their team. Do I still have to register?

If you are walking, running or riding, you must register to participate. If you plan to attend as a cheering section, you do not need to register. Registration will be open the day of the event.

Can I walk and volunteer?

Yes! If you plan to walk and volunteer, please register as a walker and volunteer. Scroll down on the menu selection when registering.

What are Matching Gift Programs?

Many employers have matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer or HR department for more information. Generally, you will be asked to complete and submit a form to NBTS for approval. This form can be sent to the above address.

Are pets allowed at the event?

Pet policies vary, and are based on the rules of each venue. Pets are permitted at this venue. Please keep your pets on a leash at all times and, if your pet does not do well in large crowds, please consider leaving them at home. Please do not leave your pet in your car during the event.

Will I receive an event t-shirt?

All registered participants, volunteers, and survivors receive a t-shirt.
