Street Team TODAY & Ongoing
We are looking for individuals or groups to hang posters in local stores, libraries, clinics, hospitals, etc. Help us advertise and spread the word about this amazing event!
Registration and Check-In 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Set up the Registration and Check-In tent. Check-in pre-registered participants and register new walk-up participants. You may also be responsible for collecting donations. A mandatory registration training will take place in the morning before registration begins.
Line Monitors 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Assist and support registration tent with crowd direction and control in the lines. A mandatory registration training will take place when you arrive. At the end of the event, you will organize and pack supplies in the tent and assist with clean up.
Greeters/Parking 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Welcome attendees, answer questions, and direct people to the Registration tent. Direct all vehicles to the drop-off area in order to unload passengers. A briefing about parking options and shuttle stop information will take place as applicable. Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Honor and Celebrate Tent 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Assist participants in making a leaf for our “Tree of Hope,” to honor those they walk for.
Team Central 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Set up the designated team sign creation area, complete with craft supplies. Assist participants as necessary.
Route Marshals 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Direct walk participants from the start/finish line safely around the course and back. Volunteers will assist with road crossings, directions, crowd control and information.
Volunteer Check-in 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Assist the volunteer committee member with checking in all volunteers for the event. Provide site maps, directions and other key items for the volunteers. Organize and pack remaining supplies after the event.
Water Stop 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Set-up and breakdown water stop for event day. Distribute water to participants.
Set-Up Crew (Day before Event) Friday 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Set-up tables, chairs and arrange stations for event. Hang up signage and fold t-shirts. Help with unloading and placing boxes and supplies in the tents in preparation for event. Organize tables and hang signage. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Set-Up Crew (Day of Event) 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Help with unloading and placing boxes and supplies in the tents in preparation for event. Organize tables and hang signage. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Cheerleaders 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Cheer on the participants as they start the walk and welcome them back when they return. Noisemakers are provided.
Food Area 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Assist in setting up the food area on-site. Monitor and help distribute food to participants. Organize and pack remaining supplies after the event. Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Breakdown/Clean-up 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Organize and pack supplies and assist with clean up. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
