Remembrance Ceremony: At 8:345am, we invite all participants to join the National Brain Tumor Society for an intimate Remembrance Ceremony for loved ones of our brain tumor angels. The ceremony will provide a space to take a few undisturbed minutes to reflect and honor your loved one’s memory. The ceremony will consist of a group reading and dedication of names of those who have lost their battle. Please submit the name of your loved one to be included by Monday, November 4th to Suzanne Isbell at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note this ceremony is open to all participants who wish to attend.
Survivor Photo: A survivor speaker will take the stage at 9:10AM. Directly following our speaker, we invite all survivors to join us on stage for our 2019 Survivor photo. (~9:15AM)
Calling all Team Captains: Beginning promptly at 9:00 AM, team captains will be invited to the stage to share the name of the loved one they walk in honor of. If you wish to share, please listen for announcements and make your way to the stage.

Directions & Parking
Visit https://www.riverfrontwilm.com/get-directions for driving directions to Dravo Plaza at the Wilmington Riverfront. Free Parking will be accessible in nearby lots, as well as handicap drop-off on site.
Parking: Parking is available throughout the Riverfront on a first come, first served basis. We recommend arriving with plenty of time to stop at registration/make your way around the site prior to the event start at 9:30 am.
Drop-Off Information: You will be able to pull up to the site on Shipyard Drive and drop members of your party off if need be.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a registration fee?
Registration for the Timed Run is $35 for adults and $10 for those 17 and under. Registration for the walk is $25 for adults and youth 17 and under are free. All REGISTERED participants receive an event t-shirt once you raise $50. Upon registration, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help you jumpstart your efforts. Even after the event is over, you will still have access to your personal fundraising page, allowing you to maximize your impact in the fight against brain tumors.
Am I required to fundraise a minimum amount?
Adults are encouraged to raise a minimum of $200 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors.
Where do Brain Tumor Events funds go?
Proceeds from the event support research to find a cure for brain tumors, public policy advocacy, and patient information to make sure the critical needs of the brain tumor community are met, through the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).
Do I need to register my children?
No, children 17 and younger do not need to register or pay a fee to attend the event. However, we strongly encourage you to register your children ahead of time so that we can anticipate their attendance and secure their commemorative t-shirt.
I plan to participate to support one of my friends and their team. Do I still have to register?
If you are walking, running or riding you must register to participate.
Can I walk and volunteer?
What are Matching Gift Programs?
Many employers have matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer or HR department for more information. Generally, you will be asked to complete and submit a form to NBTS for approval. This form can be sent to the above address.

Are pets allowed at the event?
While pets are allowed at Dravo Plaza, please keep your pets on a leash at all times and pick up after them. If your pet does not do well in large crowds, please consider leaving them at home. Please do not leave your pet in your car during the event.
Will I receive an event t-shirt?
All registered participants, volunteers, and survivors receive a t-shirt.
