Registration

Why do I need to login before I register?

All event participants with an existing user account will save time with registration, by logging into their accounts first. As an existing user, the system will remember your contact information and automatically fill out most of the registration form for you. In addition, you will gain access to your Participant Center address book and any updates you made to your previous personal fundraising page(s).

If you received an email from National Brain Tumor Society with your username and password or if you previously participated in one of our events, you will be recognized by the online registration system as an existing user account. If you already have a user account and attempt to register without logging in, you may receive a system error or incomplete registration.

You can always lookup your username or password, and request it be emailed to you. Once you are registered for the event, you will be able to edit your username and password.

I’m trying to register for the Long Island Brain Tumor Walk or the Nashville Brain Tumor Race, but I can’t find my login. Where did it go?

The Long Island and Nashville events do not require a login. Once you register, you will be emailed a unique web link that will direct you to your Personal Page.

Is there a registration fee?

There are no registration fees for a Brain Tumor Walk. However, you are required to register in order to participate in the walk and gain access to all event activities. Fees are required for any timed event such as the Race for Hope – Philadelphia and the Charlotte Brain Tumor Race. $35/$10 prior to online registration closing – $50/$15 thereafter. Fees for the Boston Brain Tumor Ride are $25/$10 prior to online registration closing – $50/$35 thereafter.

Upon registration, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help you jumpstart your efforts. Even after the event is over, you will still have access to your personal fundraising page, allowing you to maximize your impact in the fight against brain tumors.

Am I required to fundraise a minimum amount?

Adult walkers/runners are encouraged to raise a minimum of $200 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors.

Adult participants in the Boston Brain Tumor Ride are required to raise $500 and youth are required to raise $100 up to 2 months post event. More details can be found on the event website.

**Are you participating in the Pan Mass Challenge? Send us your PMC registration form and your fundraising dollars are reduced to $250.

Will I receive an event t-shirt?

To maximize every dollar raised, we only provide event T-shirts to registered survivors and volunteers. All Boston Ride participants that raise $500 will receive a Boston Brain Tumor Ride shirt.

National Brain Tumor Society T-shirts for adults and children are available at each event, in exchange for a donation.

I can’t register online. Is there another way to register?

Children ages 6-17 are required to register. Children ages 5 and under do not need to register for this event.

Can I participate and volunteer?

Yes! If you plan to participate and volunteer, please register as a Participant FIRST, and then email your contact information to us.

Please note, Volunteers are not automatically considered registered participants unless they complete the process above.

When I register for the first time, should I use my home or work mailing address?

Participants should register using their home mailing address. This helps to eliminate confusion at registration and the chance of duplicate mailings.

If someone registers as an individual, can they still join a team later?

Pre-registered individual participants can still become part of a team. Please e-mail us with the name of the team you would like to join or plan to create — and we will make the necessary adjustments for you.

I plan to participate to support one of my friends and their team. Do I still have to register?

If you are walking, running or riding you must register to participate. If you plan to attend as a cheering section, you do not need to register. Registration is open the day of the event.
