As a registered participant, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help jumpstart your efforts. Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of $200 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors.

Please note: To maximize every dollar raised, National Brain Tumor Society only provides event T-shirts to registered survivors and volunteers. However, we also offer T-shirts for adults and children at each event, in exchange for a donation.

Walk begins: 9:00 AM (approximately)

The 5K walk will start and finish at the balloon arch in Trinity Park. This is not a race and participants are not required to complete the full course. And, those who wish to remain onsite during the walk are welcome to do so.

Helpful tips:

* Please be sure to hydrate before and after the Walk.

* Snacks and water will be provided to all participants after the Walk.

* Don’t forget to wear weather appropriate clothing. And be sure you have your sunglasses and sunscreen.

Rain or shine, the event will go on – and we look forward to seeing you!

Parking at the site is limited, and will be available on a first come first served basis. Additionally, free public parking will be available at the Billingsley Field House parking lot (1355 Foch St., Ft. Worth, TX). Lot needs to be cleared by Noon.

A complimentary shuttle will run continuously from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM between Billingsley Field House and the meeting site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a registration fee?

There are no registration fees for a Brain Tumor Walk. However, you are required to register in order to participate in the walk and gain access to all event activities.

Upon registration, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help you jumpstart your efforts. Even after the event is over, you will still have access to your personal fundraising page, allowing you to maximize your impact in the fight against brain tumors.

Am I required to fundraise a minimum amount?

Adults are encouraged to raise a minimum of $200 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors.

Where do Brain Tumor Events funds go?

Proceeds from the event support research to find a cure for brain tumors, public policy advocacy, and patient information to make sure the critical needs of the brain tumor community are met, through the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).

Do I need to register my children?

Children ages 6-17 are required to register. Children ages 5 and under do not need to register for this event.

I plan to participate to support one of my friends and their team. Do I still have to register?

If you are walking, running or riding you must register to participate. If you plan to attend as a cheering section, you do not need to register. Registration is open the day of the event.

Can I walk and volunteer?

Yes! If you plan to walk and volunteer, please register as a Walker FIRST, and then email your contact information to us.

What are Matching Gift Programs?

Many employers have matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer or HR department for more information. Generally, you will be asked to complete and submit a form to NBTS for approval. This form can be sent to the above address.

Are pets allowed at the event?

Pet policies vary, and are based on the rules of each venue. If pets are permitted at the venue, please keep your pets on a leash at all times. And, if your pet does not do well in large crowds, please consider leaving them at home. Please do not leave your pet in your car during the event.
