Letter from our Event Chair: Connecticut Brain Freeze

Sunday, March 4, 2018, Savin Rock Conference Center, West Haven, CT

March 2018

On behalf of the Connecticut Brain Freeze committee, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for joining us for our 3rd Annual Connecticut Brain Freeze on Sunday, March 4th, 2018.

What started off as a dream to one day bring an event to Connecticut has become a reality and I cannot thank the amazing staff at the National Brain Tumor Society for believing in our dream to raise awareness in Connecticut.  The amount of love, compassion, and support surrounding this event, makes that plunge into the Long Island Sound feel like a warm sunny day in August.

I freeze because of my nephew, Kenny Pendleton. His love of life, his willingness to always lend a hand to others, and his story is why I will never give up my fight to one day find a cure for brain tumors. I have listened to other’s stories, so similar to my own, and can’t help but realize we are all in this fight together. Whether you are freezing because of a family member, a friend, a colleague or even simply because this is an organization you would like to support, we will all continue to push each other, to move each other, and to freeze this disease together.

As your chairman, I encourage everyone of you to get out there and fundraise, to encourage your friends to join us, and to raise awareness for brain tumors. Thank you all for your support and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday, March 4th, 2018.
