Rain or shine the event will go on!

Regardless of weather, layered clothing, wind breakers, sunglasses, and sunscreen are recommended.

All registrants must check in at the registration area! New participants can also sign up at the registration tent. Donations should be brought to the registration tent on the day of the walk.

We encourage you to gather your team in our Team Town area! Please bring a tent, chairs and lots of team spirit. While Refreshments will be made available for all, please feel free to bring a cooler, pack a lunch and enjoy the day!

Palmetto Islands County Park is located at 444 Needlerush Parkway, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464

Parking is LIMITED so please consider carpooling! Once you arrive, please let the gate attendant know that you’re with the Brain Tumor Walk. Your parking fee is paid for by the walk. They will direct you to parking attendants who will show you where to park. Registration, check-in, t-shirt pick up and donation drop off are at the Big Oak Shelter.

All funds raised through these events, allows the National Brain Tumor Society to advance research and public policy to improve the lives of all those living with a brain tumor, as well as anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow. Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a registration fee?

Registration for the Walk is $25. Youth under 18 are free. All participants receive a free t-shirt. Upon registration, you will receive a personal fundraising page and useful online tools to help you jumpstart your efforts. Even after the event is over, you will still have access to your personal fundraising page, allowing you to maximize your impact in the fight against brain tumors.

Am I required to fundraise a minimum amount?

Adults are encouraged to raise a minimum of $500 or more to help fund the discovery of a cure and better treatments for brain tumors, however, no minimum is required beyond the registration fee.

Where do Brain Tumor Events funds go?

Proceeds from the event support research to find a cure for brain tumors, public policy advocacy, and patient information to make sure the critical needs of the brain tumor community are met, through the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).

Do I need to register my children?

No, children 17 and younger do not need to register or pay a fee to attend the event. However, we strongly encourage you to register your children ahead of time so that we can anticipate their attendance and secure their commemorative t-shirt.

I plan to participate to support one of my friends and their team. Do I still have to register?

If you are walking, running or riding you must register to participate.  Registration is open the day of the event.

Can I walk and volunteer?

Yes! If you plan to walk and volunteer, please register as a Walker FIRST, and then Click HERE to volunteer!

What are Matching Gift Programs?

Many employers have matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer or HR department for more information. Generally, you will be asked to complete and submit a form to NBTS for approval. This form can be sent to the above address.
