Delaware Brain Tumor Walk & 5K Run

Welcome to the 2017 Delaware Brain Tumor Walk, a 5K Walk and (NEW THIS YEAR)  timed 5K Run!  The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and much-needed resources to fund critical brain tumor-specific programs to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Hosted by the National Brain Tumor Society, the Delaware Brain Tumor Walk & 5K Run offers individuals and teams a chance to honor and remember loved ones, connect with others interested in the brain tumor cause, and helps to educate the local community on the diverse needs of the brain tumor community.

*Online registration for the Delaware Brain Tumor Walk is now closed, but anyone wishing to participate can register or donate at Pack Pick Up at the Chase Center on Friday April 21st (1-8pm) or in-person on Saturday! (registration opens at 7:30am)*

For those interested in Registering as a timed Runner, please note, the registration fee is $35 for adults and $10 for Youth. All registered runners will be receive a race bib with a timing chip so we can record your time.

Location: Lot E at the Wilmington Riverfront ***Due to construction at Dravo Plaza and Lot D, the Riverfront has moved our event to Lot E. You will pass last year’s site on your left and make a right at the Westin Hotel. Lot E will be straight ahead. (GPS to the Westin: 818 Shipyard Dr. Wilmington, DE)

Registration: 7:30 AM – 9:15 AM

Remembrance Ceremony: 8:30 AM

Team Captain Tribute on Stage: 8:45 AM

Survivor Speaker/Photo: 9:10 AM

Run/Walk Start Time: 9:30 AM (*Runners will enter course first)

All funds raised through our events allow the National Brain Tumor Society to advance research and public policy to improve the availability of new and better treatments, and fuel the discovery of a cure for brain tumors.
