In a word… AMAZING! Who are we kidding… I can’t keep this to just one word! INCREDIBLE, IMPACTFUL, INSPIRING, AWESOME, REMARKABLE, PHENOMENAL, etc, etc etc. I can go on all day! The 2018 Central New Jersey Brain Tumor Walk was one for the record books!
Together this community raised $205,000, blowing well past our $170,000 goal. All the while, bringing together 71 teams, resulting in over 2000 participants walking shoulder to shoulder on event day. Not to mention, performing some sort of miracle, parting the clouds just in time for the main event and keeping the torrential rain at bay. Don’t you see…? The brain tumor community in New Jersey is not just mighty, we are a force of nature!
All of this work, leading up to this fantastic event, results in one main thing… We are now closer than before to finding a cure for brain tumors. The impact of the New Jersey community will fund more research, fuel more clinical trials, and promote more advocacy. That means better treatment options, longer life expectancies and better patient access to essential health care.
Together this community proved it can move mountains… Together we are stronger, together we are unbreakable, and together we will find a cure.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I CAN NOT wait to see what we will accomplish together next year!
Speaking of next year… If you don’t want to wait that long, we have a few more events happening in New Jersey that we are recruiting for right now! Take a look!
